Barcelona - Sagrada Familia... the Master of Gaudi!

This is the symbol of Barcelona, The Sagrada Familia Has been under construction since 1882.  Gaudi took over the project in 1883 and devoted his last years to this project, putting all his money into it, and in fact, died penniless. He knew he would never see it completed and asked that only money from the people, not the government, be used to finish it.  they estimate the completion by 2026 and will have a total of 18 towers: 12 dedicated to the appostoles, 4 to the evangalists, one to Jesus and one to Mary.

More amazing stained glass work... Gaudi was a devoted Catholic and a nature lover, so he wanted lots of light to penetrate the church.
